Glen Imaal Terrier
The Glen of Imaal Terrier originates from a valley of that name in the county of Wicklow in Ireland, where it was - and is - used as a badger. It IS still mainly to be found in Ireland, combining life as a working terrier with the role of pet and children's protector.
Origin and history
The Glen of Imaal Terrier is an Irish. bred working terrier and is stili popular in its area of origin. But although its fame has long spread outside its native Ireland, where it received official breed recognition in 1933, it is not often seen in the show ring.
